We’re Back!!

At last, we are going to meet up face-to-face at some new events over the next month or so.

Covid Precautions at all events: If you have Covid symptoms, please stay at home. We will provide masks and hand sanitiser and facilitate social distancing. In all venues, we may need to open windows to improve air circulation, so wrap up warm.

The Folk Club Christmas Party will take place on Wednesday 15th December at the Hollins Mill, 12 Hollins Mill Lane, Sowerby Bridge, HX6 2QG. The party starts at 8pm and there will be no admission charge.

As usual, entertainment will be provided by the excellent Ryburn Folk Club residents and regulars with perhaps a guest appearance or two. If you would like to perform, please send the title, description (seasonal /humorous /both etc) and its approximate length to info@ryburn3step.org.uk

The New Year’s Eve Ceilidh will take place At Waring Green Community Centre, Garden Rd, Brighouse HD6 2AX (the actual entrance is on Marion St). The dance will start at 8pm as usual and finish at about 12.30 in 2022. There is no bar at Waring Green, so don’t forget to bring your drinks/snacks/crackers with you

Admission Prices: Children under 12: free. Students in full-time education £5. Everyone else £10

Music will be provided by the Black Box Band and the caller will be Sue Coe.

Tickets must be booked beforehand. To book, send an email to info@ryburn3step.org.uk and we will send you a payment link with instructions.

Ryburn Longsword are resuming their weekly practices on Wednesday 12th January 2022 in the upstairs room of the Community Centre in Ripponden. If you would like to give it a go, this is the time to do it, as we can’t remember the dances either, so everyone will be starting from scratch! Please contact Liz Cryer at ryburn3step@gmail.com or on 07908 142201
