Folk Club - Jim and Lynette Eldon

Jim learned old songs from family, friends, neighbours and other singers he sought out around the east coast of Yorkshire. For 30 years or more he entertained passengers on the Bridlington pleasure boats Yorkshire Belle & Flamborian, seven days a week from April to October, playing fiddle and accompanying old and popular songs.

Lynette was inspired to learn clog dancing having seen Maddy Prior dance in
the 70s. She became a champion dancer several times over and now teaches locally and at festivals.

Jim & Lynette are regular guests at Whitby, Sidmouth & Chippenham festivals. This is their first & long overdue visit to Ryburn Folk Club.
