Bring The New Year In

Happy New Year to you all.
For the last 25 years or so, the Long Company has brought its atmospheric Mummers play to pubs around Calderdale on the first few days of the new year.Sadly, we have had to cancel this year’s performances .However, we have planned some Mummers activity to remind ourselves of the great performances and cracking pub sessions that have taken place over the years.

This evening’s offering is an illustrated presentation by Pete Coe on the origins of the Long Company and the distinctive features of our play. This will take place live at 8 pm (via Zoom, details below) lasts for about 15 to 20 minutes and will be followed by an opportunity to talk to Pete about the Long Company, his own recollections of the Mummers in his native Cheshire and any other issues you would like to raise.
